CLEARANCE SUBJECTS
The security clearance process is designed to ensure that classified material is only entrusted to suitable people who demonstrate a proper understanding of their security responsibilities and obligations. This includes complying fully with Commonwealth security procedures and ensuring that classified material cannot be accessed by anyone who is not authorised to do so.
You will be required to provide information and documentation establishing your identity, background and character. The level of access required determines how detailed the clearance process will be.
Current and previous personal circumstances and financial affairs may be considered. An interview may be conducted with you over the phone, via video conference facilities or face to face.
