CONTRACTOR: ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED VETTING OFFICER?

Role:
You will conduct security clearance assessments in accordance with relevant policies and procedures. You will be processing Baseline, NV1, NV2, complex and problematic case assessments. 

Candidate:

• You must have current PSPF vetting experience – and/or at least 2 years processing experience. 
• You must have worked with, or for, the AGSVA or an exempt agency or similar.
• Personal attributes that are essential for success in the role include being extremely well organised, handling more than a dozen cases simultaneously, a highly professional demeanour coupled with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills that enables you to elicit relevant information quickly and easily. Attention to details is a must.
• You must be passionate about vetting.

Role:
This newly created position will see you lead a small but growing PVAO team ensuring all work complies with the PSPF and relevant Policies and Procedures. Your contribution will assist with the quality and the throughput of PV casework. Your effort will help us to remain the industry’s employer of choice. It will also solidify our leadership position in the provision of security vetting services to the Commonwealth for a long time to come.

Duties Include:

• Provide direction, support and assistance to PVAOs who are geographically diverse and have varying levels of experience.
• Mentor approved NVAOs to become qualified PVAOs
• Add value to the quality and timeliness of PV work during the vetting process (eg. Referee selection guidance, Pre-Consult insight, Pre-SAI assistance, and drafting documentation etc).
• Quality Assure completed PV cases, which includes providing written feedback for each case to the AO, assessing/rating complexity, timeliness and AO performance, using our well established IT systems.
• Managing your own case-load, from start to finish.

About you:

• Must have PV Delegate experience.
• Must have recent and substantial PV AO experience.
• Must have a strong reputation within the vetting industry.
• Must have demonstrated ability to mentor and work alongside highly motivated PVAOs
• Must be a Team Player.
• Preferably, you should be able to work from the QLD Office, however, you are invited to submit an application and propose an alternate location.
